Sweet little Haileigh, eleven days new! Haileigh came in for a quick session to try out some new Ollalie headbands! Isn’t she precious?
Absolutely, completely stunning and a dream to photograph…I wanted to keep Magdalena! Not to mention that she has another gorgeous name to add to the list. This generation is seriously going to have the coolest-sounding roll call in school!
Precious little Parker! I am so in love with his red hair and perfect porcelain skin. And don’t even get me started on those newborn lips!
Ahh, I love my job!
Little Autumn Rose came to visit me in the studio at only 10 days new. Isn’t she such a beauty? I hadn’t pulled out my seamless paper in a while and I’m so glad that I did, because I just love her on the bright pink. Love, love love! I can see myself using this set up a lot. And don’t you just love her little wink on the last pic? PRECIOUS!
Introducing my very own new little bundle of joy! Griffin James was born on March 16th at 5:59pm. He weighed in at 7 lbs, 12 oz and was 20.75″ long! It has taken me forever to get his images edited (as I worked on them around my clients’ shoots), but I’m finally done! Oh, and did I mention that it took three separate visits out to the studio? The first shoot was taken at only 3 days old! But after about 30 minutes of shooting, he decided he was awake- wide awake- with no chance of going back to sleep! (Only my child, right?!)
So then came round two at six days old. Dad had requested some props and this shoot started out promising! It was about 9 o’clock at night (one of the reasons I LOVE shooting with lights) and entirely dark outside. I’m not sure if this had anything to do with it, or just added to the drama, but we lost power…twice! For some crazy reason I blew the fuse twice during the session, so we called it quits. (Incidentally, this has never happened before and hasn’t happened since!)
Round three: 17 days old. Now I probably wouldn’t have even taken Griffin back into the studio this late, but my mom had whipped up the most adorable elephant hat for him and I couldn’t miss out on that picture! I had just finished a marathon of sessions and came into the house to find Griffin totally passed out on the hubs. I still had the studio set up from the last newborn, so I scooped him up and headed back to the studio. While he was posed so perfectly and apparently happy, I threw a couple more hats on just for fun!
Ten-day-old Taelyn just kills me with those perfectly pouty lips. PRECIOUS! She was such a snuggly little thing that I was sad to turn her back over to her mom at the end of the shoot!
Evie Iris (seriously-how pretty is her name?!) came over to the studio at only 11 days old and was so teeny tiny and simply precious!
I totally get the babies with the best hair, don’t I? I can never bear to put hats on them, but luckily I had just finished making a new batch of headbands for the studio, so we still got to play dress up!
Little Drew came to visit me in the studio at only 6 days new. Absolutely gorgeous and perfect- I could have photographed him all day (as you can probably tell from the huge collection of pictures below!)
Drew’s mom is my good friend and I had been anxiously awaiting Drew’s arrival since she was about 5 weeks along. You can only imagine how thrilled I was when Dad brought along his guitar. Too precious!
Be sure to check my links page for where to find the great props used in this session!
Check out this head of hair! Have you ever seen anything like it?! I could hardly bear to cover it up with my collection of cute hat, so we only used one. Though he was only nine days new, this little charmer followed the camera like a pro and chose to stay awake for the majority of his session. Aww, I love newborns!
Sweet Isa came to my studio at only 5 days old and slept sweetly like a little angel the whole time! We were able to do so many set ups and she didn’t seem to mind in the slightest! She was so tiny and bendy and loved to rest her head on her toes! So precious, I imagine she was curled up like that in the womb and felt quite comfortable!
