A bit about Matilda Jane Clothing & pictures from previous events:
Matilda Jane Clothing’s designs are youthful. Playful. And expressive. Our whimsical approach to texture, pattern and color results in designs that capture the spirit and imagination of childhood. Remember when your grandpa let you pick your own flavor of ice cream for the first time? That’s what being a Matilda Jane girl is all about. Lucky for you, gals of all ages and sizes can join the fun! Matilda Jane Clothing is available in girls, tweens and adults. Flavors for all!
About Trades of Hope and a sneak peek of their gorgeous items:

So many women live in poverty, not because they lack abilities, but because they lack opportunity. We started Trades of Hope to give women that opportunity for a better life. Each woman has a story, and with Trades of Hope’s help, their story has changed from pain and struggle to a story of hope!

We work with the artisans themselves and organizations that are helping women in difficult circumstances. Some women have been rescued from sex slavery. Others are raising handicapped children alone. Some are in war torn countries and others have HIV/AIDS and leprosy. These women have never had the chances we’ve had, yet they are just like us in so many ways. They love their families and hope and dream of a better life for them.

We are helping by marketing their products through the home party model, so they can put food on their table, a roof over their head, get medical care and an education for their children. We want to tell their stories to the world! We have a heart for ministry and business, and through this we have started separate successful non-profit organizations and businesses.

After six years of life with only boys, welcoming our baby girl Naomi into our home was something to be celebrated. From the moment we found out we were expecting a girl, I only had eyes for pink! Pale pink to be exact… with accents of gold, and cream and everything vintage! Not to sound cheesy but from that moment, I saw the world differently; more beautiful, more feminine and I wanted it all for my baby girl. I’m a lover of all things vintage, boho, floral and feminine and I knew that was the theme I would choose for my daughter’s room. I blended these elements all together just enough to keep the room simple and clean. I was lucky enough to find beautiful one of a kind pieces from local markets and was so honored my mom and sister set aside time to create incredible keepsakes for Naomi. I was also extremely blessed to have friends willing to help with the time consuming details such as the meticulous chalk art to the application of what seemed like a million stars on the ceiling!  I truly think the hardest part of designing Naomi’s room was not getting carried away! I wanted the room to be able to grow with her and change with her as we discovered her unique personality. I think that’s also why I still don’t quite feel like her room is complete! I have visions of things I still want to do some day, things I might change. But for now her room is perfectly suited for her. This is where she exists in the sweetness of her dreams at night. All snuggled in, peaceful and safe, under a blanket of stars. This is the little bit of fairytale she wakes up to in the morning and; hopefully, feels like the princess she is. Her room evokes beauty and is functional with books ready to be opened, little friends ready to be played with. A lot of love went into the design of her nursery.

  • Christianne - How adorable! Congratulations 🙂 what local markets do you go to? I love the antique designs of the furniture. It took me months to find one for my family room. I’m trying to find a similar design for a wall shelf. Naomi is such a pretty name too.ReplyCancel
