While we try to teach our children all about life,
Our children teach us what life is all about.
~Angela Schwindt

Handsome little Tor-Tor is so much fun in the studio! I just love this little guy and always enjoy chatting with his wonderful parents. Torin gave me such great smiles and so much personality this session and it reminded me how much I love the six month age!

“Happy girls are the prettiest” – Audrey Hepburn

Sweet Bella & Evelyn seem almost regulars at the studio now participating in both of the recent mini sessions and Bella’s newborn and 3 month pictures and these gorgeous sisters are always smiling! Their mom always dresses them in the cutest outfits too which makes it even more fun for me!

  • Staci - Bella so sweet! And Evelyn is just the prettiest little girl. These sisters are so adorable.ReplyCancel

“The Blessedness of being little” – Shakespeare

Look who’s back! I just love milestone sessions! I love getting to see these precious little children grown and change so much over the course of their first year. What a true blessing! And being able to capture the sweetness of it all – incredible! Sweet little Taelyn here who is betrothed to my little Griff Griff (Don’t worry they totally love each other!) just keeps getting prettier by the day! After going home sick at her first 6 month session she came back for round 2 and wow’d us all with her poses and smiles! She clearly loves the camera!

“May you touch
dragonflies and stars,
dance with the fairies
and talk to the moon.
May you grow up with
love and gracious hearts
and people who care.
Welcome to the world
little one, it’s been
waiting for you!”

For those of you who keep track I know I’ve used this poem before but when Katie brought Emily for her newborn session I had just put up new vinyl in the studio and she loved this poem! So I thought I would use it again!! 🙂 Emily was such a sweet little angel for me in the studio! And man is she beautiful! I can’t wait to see how her looks change over the year as she comes in for her milestone pictures! I’m pretty sure she’s gonna look just like her gorgeous mama!

  • Laura - I just ran across your site and I love your photos. I was wondering if I could ask what that purplish blanket in the second and third pictures is? And possibly where you found it?  I am trying to find a gift for a new mom and I think it would be perfect. ReplyCancel

“If a man does not keep pace with his companions perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears however measured or far away”

“Asher as Justin Bieber”

Back in July my sweet son Asher was diagnosed Autistic. For anyone in this same boat you know that means a whirlwind of emotions, paperwork, evaluations, stress and uncertainty. In the mix of all the chaos I was receiving friendly reminder emails every so often that I had signed up to do an autism walk with Autism Speaks and was supposed to be fundraising. Oh right…fundraising that would fit nicely into my already hectic schedule! Then I had an idea! And idea that I was so excited about! Halloween Mini’s for Autism! I love Halloween, like LOVE it! And what a better way to fund raise than take pictures of adorable kiddos in their costumes! It was a match made in heaven! A quick little post on facebook and the day of minis was 80% sold out! That post shared to my personal page and the Autism Speaks page and I was booked…solid! I even opened up sessions an hour earlier than I had planned! I was so overwhelmed with the incredible response! My little idea even sparked Erin Wallis of Erin Wallis Photography in Campbell River , Canada to do a similar fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis Canada! Now this may be a silly little pipe dream but imagine every Halloween more and more photographers did minis for charity! That my friends could be really cool! Here are some favorites from the minis plus some great snap shots from the Autism walk! Looking forward to next year!!
